THE $1 CLICK
Terms, refunds and privacy
Last updated: [DATE]. Run by [YOUR NAME OR BUSINESS NAME], [CITY], Canada.
Terms
- What you're buying. Each $1 (Canadian dollars) buys one press of the button. A press records your chosen name and optional message on the public ledger and gives you a numbered digital note. It is a novelty and a bit of fun: it has no cash value, earns no prize, interest or return, and can't be resold or exchanged.
- Packs. A pack of 5 or 10 loads that many presses on your device. Loaded presses stay with the browser you bought them on; clearing your browser data can lose them.
- Daily limit. You can spend up to $20 a day, gifts included. The limit resets at midnight Eastern time.
- Names and messages. Your name is set once and can't be changed. Names and messages are public. Don't post anything hateful, harassing, sexual, illegal, or anyone's personal information. We may remove any message or name without refund.
- Gifts. A gift link loads the presses for whoever opens it first. Anyone you share it with can claim it, so share it only with the person it's for.
- Lucky extras. Mascots, gold notes, badges and the crown are random or rank-based decorations. They have no monetary value.
- Note numbers. Notes are numbered in the order presses reach our server.
- Availability. We aim to keep the site running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
- Charity. [If you keep the "10¢ per press to charity" line on the site: name the charity and how often you donate. Otherwise remove that line from the site and this item.]
Refunds
- Used presses are final. Once a press is on the ledger, it can't be refunded.
- Unused presses and unclaimed gifts can be refunded within 30 days of purchase. Email us the date, the amount and your note number or gift link.
- Mistakes are always refunded: double charges, or a payment that didn't load your presses.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe and usually take 5 to 10 business days to appear.
Privacy
- No accounts. We create an anonymous ID for your browser so it can hold your presses and badges. We don't ask for your email.
- What's public: the name you choose, your messages, your note numbers, and when you pressed.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe may collect payment and device details to prevent fraud; see stripe.com/privacy.
- Where data lives: on Google Firebase, which hosts the site and its database.
- Your browser stores your anonymous ID and a few settings (like sound on or off) so the site remembers you.
- We don't sell your data or use advertising trackers.
- To ask what we hold about you or to have your name and messages removed, email us.
